About The Fringe .

The Lagos Fringe festival is set to host over 75 Events in 8 days of performances, workshops, networking, collaborations and fanfare. The 8 days long festival kicks off on Sunday 11th in collaboration with AFRIFF, Women in the Arts and LABAF. The quintessential performing arts festival; Lagos Fringe, will be held from 11 till 18 November 2018 in Lagos across various venues in collaboration with the Africa International Film Festival AFRIFF. The Lagos Fringe strand is an open access showcase for performers, exhibitors, vendors and production companies to present their work without restriction to style such as Theatre, Children’s theatre, Dance, Film, Spoken word, Comedy, Puppetry, Cabaret, Photography, Face Painting, Martial Arts Display, Music, Interdisciplinary arts etc.
Workshops and Panel Discussions have been programmed from Monday 12- Thursday 15 November to encourage capacity building and engagement with stakeholders. Some of the panelists include Wole Oguntokun Renegade Theatre, The Lagos Fringe Festival Director Kenneth Uphopho, Ojoma Ochai Head of Arts British Council, Dr Kemi DaSilva –Ibru alongside our international guests; Julian Caddy, Managing Director, Brighton Fringe UK and Michael Garbett from The Vrystaat Festival Fringe South Africa. The Lagos Fringe evenings are billed to be exciting; “Don’t Drop the Mic” an urban music/rap battle event, Karaoke, Concerts for Alternative Music, Live Bands, African Cabaret show, Disc Jockeys, Games and more music.
